Parallel long term tethered behavior system for Drosophila

Six fly rigs together

The system is small, modular, and designed to be used in parallel. Six fit together on a two by four foot footprint.

A projector displays the virtual world on a panoramic conical display. The fly walks on an air supported ball, and a camera tracks its movements to update the virtual world.

A custom feeding system reliably delivers hundreds of nL scale drops of sucrose solution to feed the fly over the course of the experiment
